Fourth Generation

The current owners, the fourth generation of the Beak & Skiff Family, are pictured to the right.  They are from left to right, Candy "Beak" Morse, Jackie Beak, Steve Morse, Lynn "Skiff" Fleckenstein, Mark Fleckenstein and Tim Beak.  Absent from the photo is David Pittard, the manager of our Cider Mill. Dave was called away to address a "pressing" problem at the mill.

As you may have guessed, there are some son-in-laws involved. The 3rd generation was blessed with many daughters and one son.  Thus, there was the need to recruit males to carry on the physical tasks required.  Little did Steve, Mark or David realize that they were a part of a labor recruitment program.  Oh well!

Fifth Generation

Who's next to take over?  At present, Peter Fleckenstein, the son of Mark and Lynn, is the only fifth generation member involved on a full time basis.  Cait Morse, the daughter of Candy and Steve, helps out during the fall when she finishes her Forest Service work.  David's son Dave Jr. helps out some, but he has a full time job that keeps him busy for now.  Tim's kids Richard, Kylie and Jenna help out in the fall, but they are still working their way through school.  It should be noted that all of the current owners, except Tim, the only son of the 3rd generation family, worked at other jobs before landing at Beak & Skiff.  Perhaps that trend will continue.
